Four weeks today will, once again, be the anniversary of The Peterloo Massacre. Manchester's darkest day, on which 18 innocent men, women and children - including one as yet unborn - were brutally killed by the Yeoman Cavalry.
As usual there will be a short commemoration of the event. This is usually held on the nearest Sunday but, this year, we're trying something a bit different. You are invited to gather at The Peterloo Memorial, behind the Midland Hotel, and in front of GMex, at 5.30pm for a short memorial at 6pm.
Afterwards, no doubt, there will be a move to The Briton's Protection pub, just down the road for a libation.
I have just a few Peterloo Tee shirts left for sale on my website at the very appropriate price of £18.19. I have most sizes still available but stock is limited so it's on a strictly first come - first served basis. In the first instance please email to check availability in your size. using conduitzzz@outlook.com.
